The Early Years Foundation Stage says:
The development of children’s artistic and cultural awareness supports their imagination and creativity.
It is important that children have regular opportunities to engage with the arts, enabling them to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials.
The quality and variety of what children see, hear and participate in is crucial for developing their understanding, self-expression, vocabulary and ability to communicate through the arts.
The frequency, repetition and depth of their experiences are fundamental to their progress in interpreting and appreciating what they hear, respond to and observe.
Expressive arts and design
RAFAKidz will deliver a programme of art, music, dancing and role-play, which is rich in providing many different experiences for children so that they can learn to express themselves, grow in confidence and be creative. The team will provide opportunities for role-play for every age group so that children learn to make meaning about their world as well as acting out stories.
Children will have access to a variety of media and art materials so that they can learn to create their own pictures and art works. Singing, dancing and music making are integrated parts of our programme.
