RAFAKidz Leeming offers a range of childcare options for children aged 3 months to 11 years.

We are located on station at RAF Leeming in the centre of the serving community. Our modern and well-furnished nursery puts parents’ priorities and children’s development front of mind. From the exciting outdoor space to the beautiful sensory room, handpicked staff, and nutritious meals – we’ve got all bases covered. We provide government funded places for two, three, and four year olds, with a package to suit all needs including term time only plans. Meet our nursery manager, Lisa Mowforth

Lisa Mowforth started at Leeming in October 2021. I started in childcare when I became a child minder for three years whilst living in Scotland so I could be there for my son. I moved to Oxfordshire and started working in a nursery as bank staff and kitchen assistant. I did my Level 3 and worked my way up to being deputy manager. I moved home to Yorkshire and started working at the nursery at RAF Leeming just before RAFAKidz took over. I am now the setting manager. I love seeing how children learn and develop, being there for a child’s ‘Wow’ moment when they learn something new is so special.

It is a privilege to work in a unique nursery supporting the forces families using my professional knowledge and drawing on my experiences as a RAF wife and mother.
