“I joined RAFAKidz Cranwell in 2017 as an Early Years Practitioner and was promoted to Room Leader in 2019. I am also the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator.
The best part of my job is supporting children to reach their full potential. No day is ever the same here! I love to create exciting opportunities for the children, seeing them really engage in their play and learn new skills is amazing. The second best part of my job is working alongside families, sharing their child’s unique learning journey, planning nursery events for all the family to attend and being there to support families in their times of need.
During my time at Cranwell I have had numerous training opportunities to develop my skills and keep myself up to date with best practice. I have been to the Nursery World Show in London to attend workshops and seminars with the leading experts in Early Years. I have also attended courses to support me in my role as SENDCo and I am currently studying towards the Level 3 certificate for SENCos in Early Years.
The management team have colleague well-being at the heart of the setting, they are always available to speak to and think of the colleagues when planning team building events and trips out together. The in-house training is brilliant, new fresh ideas are always encouraged, tried and reflected on. I feel like a valued member of the team where my voice matters.
